Biography
Thomas Lupo
( Died; London, Jan 1628). English composer of Italian
origin. From a musical family, he served the court as a viol player or violinist (from
1591) and composer to the violins (from 1621). As well as vocal music, he composed many
instrumental fantasias, some with 'trio-sonata' scoring, and was a pioneer of the broken
consort.
