Benefit Concert for Twin Towers Fund
Guitarists and Premonition Recording Artists BOBBY BROOM AND JOHN McLEAN TO PERFORM BENEFIT CONCERT TO AID THE TWIN TOWERS ORPHAN FUND

Tuesday, March 12

College of DuPage - Harold D. McAninch Arts Center Arts Center

Critically acclaimed jazz guitarist and Premonition Records artists Bobby Broom and John McLean will perform a special benefit concert on Tuesday, March 12 at the McAnnish Arts Center at the College of DuPage. The proceeds from this show, organized by Phi Theta Kappa and the International Society of Two-Year Colleges and sponsored by WDCB, will aid the Twin Towers Orphan Fund (http://www.ttof.org). The Twin Towers Orphan Fund was announced and established on September 13, 2001 to benefit children orphaned (any child who lost one or both parents) by the national disasters of September 11. All donations are used to provide for the long-term well-being of those children, including educational assistance, and mental and physical health care.

Both Bobby Broom and John McLean have volunteered their musical talents for this noble and philanthropic cause.

ABOUT BOBBY BROOM AND JOHN McLEAN

Guitarist Bobby Broom and John McLean record for Premonition Records. Bobby Broom's latest recording, Stand!, and John McLean's latest disc, Easy Go, have been mainstays on the National Jazz Chart and have garnered praise from jazz fans, aficionados, and journalists. They are considered two of the hottest guitarists in jazz today.

Stand! was named one of the top picks for 2001 by Jazziz! and Easy Go was chosen as one on the year's best by Howard Reich, jazz writer for The Chicago Tribune.

In addition to his outstanding solo career, veteran guitarist Bobby Broom has performed with Miles Davis, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, Kenny Burell, and Sonny Rollins.

Originally making his mark playing with jazz greats Patricia Barber, Terry Callier, and Randy Brecker, John McLean successfully struck out on his own with Easy Go!.
